ANNAPOLIS, MD - On July 31st, 2017, Maryland Governor, Larry Hogan appointed Sandy Walters, Chief Industry Information Officer of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group (KELLY), to the Maryland Health Insurance Coverage Protection Commission for a term of three years. In June, the Maryland General Assembly authorized the Commission to compile a study evaluating any effects potential changes to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act would have on the citizens of Maryland. As a member of the Commission, Sandy Walters will serve the citizens of Maryland, making recommendations that mitigate any negative effects from changes in national health care law.
In addition to his primary role at KELLY, Sandy serves as the Executive Vice President and Senior Consultant for KELLY Benefit Strategies, as well as, being a member of KELLY’s Executive Management Team. Sandy brings to the commission more than 30 years of industry knowledge.
